This
site displays many of the auto racing photos taken by Mike and Pat
Smith over the years. The site will be growing monthly as we get more
of the images printed and in inventory. We have over a thousand images
available online now and have plenty more to come. I keep finding
boxes of slides that I forgot I had taken. Now I know how Indiana
Jones felt when he found the Holy Grail! Check out the "About
Turbo" page for a little history of how we got started.
We
have been selling on eBay since October 1999 and decided to also offer
the photos through a web site so our complete inventory would be available
at any time. We try to keep an inventory of all photo images. We have
thousands of images that are not displayed on the website. We attend
many events in California every year. We can have prints made, usually
within 5 days, and in the mail within a week. Give us a buzz if you
have something in mind.
We
are using a new photo processing system that has great quality and
consistent prints from batch to batch. We were having our enlargements
made using the conventional photo process, using inter-negatives made
from the original slides that would then be used to process enlargements.
This was not only extremely time consuming to clean the negative strips
every time prints were made, but the consistency of the photo labs
we were using was less than desirable. The new process allows us to
scan the original negatives or slides at high resolution (4000 dpi),
crop and adjust as needed and then copy the files to a CD. The new
photo lab has a new digital process that uses a laser to transfer
the digital image from file to the photo paper and then uses a conventional
chemical process to develop the enlargements. We are extremely happy
with this process as the quality is great, the prints are consistent
and the staff at the photo lab is outstanding. They really take pride
in their work. We fully guarantee our product.
This
site will be in a constant construction mode. Check back from time
to time and check the "What's New " section below.
